Every question has a prompt — the content shown to the candidate when they encounter the question. The prompt is written using the TestInvite rich content editor, which supports far more than plain text: formatted text, embedded media, tables, math, and more. Each capability is covered in its own panel below.

Insert an image by uploading a file, picking one from the Media Library, or pasting a URL — then click any inserted image to resize, replace, or caption it.

Embed a playable audio clip in the question content by uploading a file, entering a URL, reusing a previous clip, or selecting one from the Media Library. Configure how candidates can control and replay the audio.

Embed inline videos using an uploaded file, YouTube embed URL, direct video URL, or the Media Library. Configure player dimensions and, for supported sources, playback controls.

A file attachment gives candidates a downloadable file — a PDF, spreadsheet, or similar — that opens inline from within the question.

Create structured tables in question content, format individual cells, add headers and captions, merge or split cells, and preview the result before inserting it.

Formulas can be typed inline with KaTeX syntax or built visually in the MathLive editor — subscript and superscript are available separately for simpler notation.

A raw HTML block inserts custom markup that the toolbar's built-in tools don't cover — at the cost of losing the safety net those tools provide.

The content editor provides a rich inline styling toolset across question types—including bold, italic, font families and sizes, text colors, highlights, and subscript or superscript.

Headings, lists, blockquotes, alignment, indentation, and RTL direction let you structure a long prompt like a document instead of a single unbroken paragraph.

A code block preserves spacing and prevents line-wrapping, so code, commands, or any monospace content stays scannable instead of being pasted as unreadable plain text.

A PDF attachment embeds a document directly in the content — candidates click it to open a built-in PDF viewer without leaving the question or downloading a file.
