Reporting

Overview of the four reporting configuration areas — templates, pass/fail, performance levels, and interpretations.

The Reporting section of the test editor controls how results are presented after a test is completed. Configuration here affects what test-takers see in their result view (when results are shared) and what assessors see in the admin panel.

Reporting has four configuration areas, each covered on its own sub-page:

  • Report Templates — select or customize the layout and content of the result report
  • Pass/Fail — define a score threshold that determines whether a result is marked as passed or failed
  • Performance Levels — build a scale that maps score ranges to descriptive levels (e.g. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
  • Interpretations — add custom labels and explanatory notes tied to specific score ranges

None of these settings are required to run a test. You can deliver a test with no reporting configuration and still access raw scores in the admin panel. Reporting configuration adds meaning and context to scores — it is most valuable when results are shared with candidates or when you need standardized score interpretation across many test-takers.

Reporting configuration does not affect scoring — scores are always calculated from the questions. Reporting only affects how scores are displayed and interpreted.
