Tasks
Task Settings
Task-level configuration: how candidates get in (access, availability, payment, network rules), what profile data is collected, how candidate-facing pages look, and how the task emails and chats with candidates.
Updated 2026/07/16
Task settings govern everything about the task that isn't a specific step: how candidates get in, what information is collected about them, what the candidate-facing pages look like, and how the task communicates. Where step settings answer “how does this exam run?”, task settings answer “how does this assessment operate?”.
- Access & Entry — the access method (self-registration, pre-registered, internal users), the registration form, availability window, optional payment, and network restrictions.
- Participant Profile — which candidate properties exist: classification parameters and custom properties collected or assigned per candidate.
- Web Pages — the public front page, the login page, and the thank-you page candidates see around the assessment.
- Email Templates — the invitation, reminder, and custom emails the task sends to candidates.
- Live Chat — the live message channel between candidates and your team.
- Advanced — the long tail of behavioral switches for special cases.
Settings here apply to the whole task and all its steps. If a rule should differ per exam part — timing, security, attempts — it belongs on the step, not here.

Access & Entry
Participant Profile
Define what your task knows about each candidate: structured classification parameters (tags, stages, programs) and free-form custom properties — the data that powers filtering, audiences, prerequisites, and reports.
Web Pages
The candidate-facing pages around the assessment — front page, login page, and the assessment page — plus the task's language, branding, and translation settings.
Live Chat
Open a live message line between candidates and your team — offered on the login page (with a pre-chat contact form and temporary-chat option), in the workspace, and inside the test, and answered from the task or live from the Exam Monitor.
Advanced
The task's technical corner: LMS/website integration around the login URL, exporting the full task configuration as JSON, and debug views for support.
Email Templates
Manage every email the task sends: system default templates with quick subject/text/button overrides, fully designed custom templates with per-recipient placeholders, per-kind defaults, real-candidate previews, and the email provider setting.
