Video
How to embed uploaded video files or YouTube links in question prompts, and how to switch between the two types.
Click the video button in the toolbar to embed a video in the question prompt. Two source types are supported: an uploaded video file or a YouTube link.
Uploaded video
Upload a video file directly from your device or select one from the Media Library. The video is hosted on TestInvite and plays inline. Supported formats include MP4, WebM, and MOV.
YouTube embed
Paste a YouTube URL to embed the video as an inline player. The candidate watches the video without leaving the question. Make sure the video is publicly accessible or unlisted — private videos will not play.
Switching between types
When editing an existing video embed, you can switch between the uploaded-file type and the YouTube type in the edit dialog. The embed's position in the content is preserved and the original UUID is kept.
Tips
- Keep prompt videos short — long videos increase session time significantly and may frustrate candidates.
- Upload to the Media Library for reuse across multiple questions.
- If using YouTube, test the link in an incognito window before publishing to confirm it is publicly accessible.
