Question Bank Content Editor

Video

Embed inline videos using an uploaded file, YouTube embed URL, direct video URL, or the Media Library. Configure player dimensions and, for supported sources, playback controls.

Updated 2026/08/04

Click the video button in the content editor toolbar to add a video. You can upload a video file, embed a YouTube video, enter a direct video URL, or select a video from the Media Library.

Uploaded video

Upload a video file directly from your device or select one from the Media Library. The video is hosted on TestInvite and plays inline. Supported formats include MP4, WebM, and MOV.

YouTube embed

Enter the YouTube embed URL to display the video as an inline player. Use the URL shown after src= in the video’s embed code rather than the standard watch-page URL. The video must be public or unlisted; private videos will not play.

Direct video URL

Enter a direct URL to an externally hosted video file. The video plays inline within the question content.

Video window size

Set the width and height of the video player to control how large it appears within the question content.

Playback controls

For supported video sources, configure how candidates can interact with the video:

Allow pause — lets candidates pause and resume playback.

Allow going forward-backward — lets candidates move backward or forward within the video.

Switching between types

When editing an existing video embed, you can switch between the uploaded-file type and the YouTube type in the edit dialog. The embed's position in the content is preserved and the original UUID is kept.

Tips

  • Keep prompt videos short — long videos increase session time significantly and may frustrate candidates.
    • Upload to the Media Library for reuse across multiple questions.
      • If using YouTube, test the link in an incognito window before publishing to confirm it is publicly accessible.
