Video
Candidates record or upload a video response, evaluated by AI or scored using a rubric.
A Video question asks candidates to respond on camera. They can record a video directly in the browser using their webcam, or upload a pre-recorded video file. Video responses are evaluated using AI or reviewed manually with a rubric.
Writing the Question
Write your question prompt using the content editor. Be specific about what the candidate should present — the topic, format, duration, and any preparation instructions. See Content Editor and Layout.
Recording vs Upload
- Browser recording — candidates record using their webcam directly in the assessment. The browser requests camera and microphone permission.
- File upload — candidates upload a prepared video file. Useful for presentation tasks or portfolio-style assessments where candidates prepare in advance.
AI Evaluation
Enable AI evaluation to automatically score video responses. The AI evaluates the submission against your grading prompt and returns a score and feedback text. Write a prompt that describes what a strong video response looks like — content, delivery, structure, or any specific criteria relevant to your assessment. See AI Evaluation.
Rubric Scoring
Attach a rubric to evaluate video responses against structured criteria — such as presentation skills, content accuracy, body language, or communication clarity. Reviewers watch the video and score each criterion. See Rubric Scoring.
Common Features
Video questions also support: Scoring — Multipliers & Dimensions, Hint, Answer Explanations, Folder & Tags, Preview & Scoring Simulation, and three save modes.
