Which roles can access the Question Bank and what each role can do — from question authoring to submission review.
Five roles interact with the Question Bank, each with a distinct scope of access. Understanding who can do what helps you set up your team correctly and choose the right role for each contributor.

Admin
Full access to all Question Bank features — question authoring, bulk operations, settings, schema configuration, and submission review. Admins can do everything any other role can do.
Manager
Can access the Question Bank and review submissions, but cannot directly author or edit questions or change settings. Managers are well-suited to oversight and approval responsibilities without needing day-to-day question authoring access.
Test Author
The primary question authoring role. Test Authors can create, edit, delete, and bulk-update questions and configure the bank settings and schema. They cannot review or action question submissions.
Question Bank Supervisor
A dedicated reviewer role. Question Bank Supervisors can view the question library and review, approve, revise, or reject submitted questions. They cannot author questions directly or change settings.
Question Author
An external contributor role. Question Authors have no access to the main Question Bank. They work exclusively in the Submissions view, where they can create questions, save them as drafts, and submit them for supervisor review. See Question Submissions for the full workflow.
Assign the Test Author role to internal question authors, Question Bank Supervisor to quality reviewers, and Question Author to external contributors or subject-matter experts who should not have access to your full question library.
