Report Templates

A test has one Standard Template and any number of custom reports; the one marked default is used everywhere, unless a task step picks another or embeds a custom report above or below the standard report.

The report template is the presentation layer of a test's results: it decides how the score report looks and what it contains, without affecting how anything is scored. Templates are managed in the test's Reporting › Template tab.

The template table

The Template tab lists the Standard Template and every custom report of the test. For each row:

The radio button marks the test's default template. Click another row's radio button to change it; you'll be asked to confirm, because the default changes the report of every session.
The title opens the template for editing.
The access chip (custom reports only) shows who may use it: Private, All organizations, or selected partners.
The row menu edits or deletes a custom report. Deleting the custom report that is the default makes the Standard Template the default again.

Which template a report uses

The test's default is a starting point. Each task step decides, separately for the Admin Report and the Candidate Report, which template it uses:

Test's Default Report Template	Follows the test: whichever row has the radio button. Changes when the test's default changes.
Standard	Always the Standard Template. With Extend with Custom Template, a custom report is added at the top or bottom.
A specific custom report	Always that custom report, whatever the test's default.

Choosing

Templates are presentation only. Switching templates never changes scores, pass/fail outcomes or stored results, and reports are built when they are viewed — so completed sessions simply appear in the new format.
