Report Templates

How to choose and customize the report template that controls what test-takers see in their result view.

Published 2026/06/15

The Template tab in Reporting determines the layout and content of the result report shown to test-takers and assessors after a test is completed.

Default Template

The default template is the system-provided result format. It shows the overall score, pass/fail status (if configured), performance level (if configured), and basic completion information. No customization is required to use it.

Standard Template

The standard template editor gives you control over which sections appear in the report. You can enable or disable blocks such as:

  • Overall score display (numeric, percentage, or both)
  • Pass/fail badge
  • Performance level label
  • Score breakdown by section or scoring dimension
  • Interpretation text
  • Result labels and custom notes

Custom Reporting Template

For full control, you can define a custom reporting template. This option supports structured data mapping and custom display logic, and is used when the standard template does not cover a specific reporting requirement.

The report template affects only the presentation layer — scores and data are always calculated from the questions and stored regardless of which template is selected.
