Importing questions in bulk

Bulk importing questions into the question bank

Importing questions in bulk allows you to efficiently upload multiple questions into your question bank at once. The system provides a preview of the questions before finalizing the import, ensuring accuracy and flexibility.

Steps to Import Questions

  • Click on the "Question Bank" tab in the navigation panel.
    • Click the "+ New Question" button.
      • Select "Import Questions".
        • Choose an import method.
          Click the Import Questions button below the question type panel.

          1. Import questions using templates

          Select your desired format from our predefined Excel files

          Choose the most appropriate import template for your specific use-case and download it.

          2. Restore questions

          Upload previously exported questions saved as JSON files.

          3. Import using a custom parser

          • Use a CSV file to bulk upload questions.
            • Select your file and configure settings (e.g., question type, tags, separators for CSV files).

              • Preview Imported Questions

                The system displays the number of questions parsed, the folder where questions will be saved, the tags associated with each question and the option to cancel or modify the imported questions.

                • Finalize Import by clicking "Save" to complete the process.
                  After importing, you can find the questions in the assigned folder under the Question Bank section.

                  Select and download the import template that best fits your specific use case.

                  Especially useful when migrating content or working with large-scale assessments, templates allow you to add multiple questions to your question bank in one go, using a structured Excel file.
