Finding a Question by ID

Every question in the bank has a unique ID. Once you have it, Find by ID jumps straight to that question from anywhere — no need to know which folder it's in.

Getting a Question's ID

Open the info menu on any question's row in the question list — the ID is the first item, labeled Question ID, with a click-to-copy button next to it. The ID only exists once the question has been saved at least once; there's no ID to show for a question you're still creating.

Using Find by ID

• Open the Find by ID filter from the filter bar and paste one or more IDs — one per line, or separated by commas.
• The lookup is an exact match: it does not do partial or fuzzy matching, so a mistyped or truncated ID simply won't be found.
• It searches your whole bank, not just the current folder — the view automatically switches to wherever the first matched question lives.
• Applying it clears your other active filters (type, status, tags, labels, dimensions) and replaces the filter bar with a results chip showing how many questions were found.
• Click the × on the results chip to leave Find by ID mode and return to your regular filters.

If some pasted IDs don't match anything, you're told how many were found versus how many you entered; if none match, or a match is deleted, it won't appear — deleted questions are excluded from Find by ID.

Find by ID is the fastest way to jump to a question referenced elsewhere — a bug report, an export file, or a link from a test's question list — without hunting through folders.
