Use input evaluation to automatically grade text and numeric input types .

You can use Input evaluation to automatically evaluate the following input types:

  • Text field
    • Text area
      • Numerical

        Text input evaluation types

        • Equal: The input should be an exact copy of the Variable.
          • Not equal: The input should not be an exact copy of the Variable.
            • Should match: The input should include the Variable.
              • Should not match: The input should not include the Variable.
                • Is one of: Works the same way as 'Equal' but you can add multiple Variables.
                  • Is one none of: Works the same way as 'Not equal' but you can add multiple Variables.
                    Warning:Input evaluation is case-sensitive.
                    You can circumvent case sensitivity by adding multiple variations of the same variable with 'Is one of' function.

                    Numeric input evaluation types

                    • Equal: The input should be an exact copy of the Variable.
                      • Not equal: The input should not be an exact copy of the Variable.
                        • Should match: The input should include the Variable.
                          • Should not match: The input should not include the Variable.
                            • Is between: The input should be between the included Variables. Clicking on Inclusive lets you choose if the range includes the Variables themselves.
                              • Compare with: The input should be higher or lower than the Variable. Clicking on Inclusive lets you choose if the Variable is included within the Evaluation.
                                • Is one of: Works the same way as 'Equal' but you can add multiple Variables.
                                  • Is one none of: Works the same way as 'Not equal' but you can add multiple Variables.
                                    Warning:Input evaluation is case-sensitive.

                                    After the Input or Open-Ended Question is answered by the Test-taker, you can check and evaluate the answers in the Exam Results section.
