Updated 2026/02/23
Creating video recording questions
- Go to the Question bank and click + New Question.
- Select Video Recorder as the question type.
- Enter your question prompt in the rich text editor (e.g., “Make a 1 min recording of yourself describing your current environment.”).
Configuring answer settings
You can restrict how candidates interact with the video recorder using two options:
- Time of the recording: Set to Active to limit the duration (e.g., 60 seconds). If disabled, the recording has no time limit.
- How many times user can retry recording: Set to Active to allow limited retries (e.g., 1 to 10 retries). If disabled, the test-taker is allowed unlimited attempts.
Using the Preview section will let you simulate the test-taker experience, including activating the camera, selecting a video input, and recording a response with the configured settings.
