March, 2025
The reporting options allow you to assign meaningful metadata to each question, improving data interpretation, tracking, and reporting in customized assessment workflows.
Access the reporting features from the top right menu.
Extract answer
Enable Extract answer to include the selected response in the reporting data pipeline. This is especially useful when you want to:
Analyze responses across specific questions.
Perform custom calculations based on answer values.
Generate detailed or personalized assessment reports.
⚠️ Best used selectively. Extracting answers is recommended only for a limited number of questions within a test, as it is designed for advanced reporting use cases.
Reporting name
The reporting name is a custom label you assign to a question for easier identification during data export. Rather than displaying the full question text (which may include media or lengthy formatting), this simplified name is shown in the report.
Use it to:
Quickly identify the question in exports.
Avoid clutter from complex question content.
Maintain a consistent naming convention across your reports.
After assigning a reporting name for your question, it will be indicated next to the point value indicator on the question panel:
Entered reporting name appears at the top side info section.
The reporting name feature is also helpful for navigating the question bank, as it can be used to sort questions in the main "Questions" tab.
Sorting using reporting name.
💡 Why use reporting features?
Reporting features are essential when working with detailed assessment data. They help you:
• Streamline your report outputs with clear, consistent labels. • Extract meaningful data for analysis, especially when working with spreadsheets or custom dashboards. • Customize how your assessment insights are structured and presented.
