The goal of exit interview is to get feedbacks about the company, its operations, the reasons of turnover and
the managers’ performances. It may be easier to gather information from a former employee as there is less reason
to hide her/his views.
An informative and systematic interview looks for answer to these questions:
What attracted you to this company in the first place?
How satisfied were you to be working here? (On a scale)
How would you assess your supervisor or boss? (On a scale on different dimensions)
What is the reason of your defection?
Would you be willing to work here in another position in the future?
How do you think we can create a better workplace?
By evaluating the answers from many exit interviews, you can identify the root causes of problems, help your company
to maintain a better retention by finding solutions to the turnover problem and provide a continual improvement in the workplace.
