Input Questions
Open-Ended / Subjective Questions
The user can respond to an Input Question by Typing, Creating Content, Recording Audio, Recording Video, Writing Code or Uploading a File.
We start creating our question (as in all questions) by typing our question in the Question Title section.
As a second step, we will determine the (Answering) Input Type. To do this, go to the Answer tab and make your selection.
Answering by Typing
- Text Field (Single Line): The user answers by typing in a single line text field.
- Text Area (Multiple Lines): The user answers by typing in a multi-line text area.

Rich Content Editor
: User responds by writing to the
Rich Content Editor. You can
allow
or restrict the user to access the editor's features below:
- Add Image
- Add an Audio File
- Add Video
- Attach Files
Answering by Recording Voice
- Select Audio Recorder as the Answering Type
- If you want to set a time limit for recording , make an entry in “seconds”. For example, you can ensure that the recording does not exceed 60 seconds. In this case, recording ends automatically after 60 seconds have passed.
- You can limit the number of times the user tries to record. For example, if you set the number of records to 2, the user can try to record up to 2 times at the most.
- By opening Preview, you can experience how the question works.
Answering by Recording Video
- Select Video Recorder as the Answering Type.

Answering by Writing Code
- Select Code Editor as the Answering Type and choose the Programming Language in which the code will be written.
- If you want the user to start coding with an empty editor, delete the content in the editor; or bring the code to a certain stage; then you can ask the user to continue.
Answering by Uploading a File
- Select File Uploader as the Answering Type
Evaluating the Answers Given
After the Open Ended Question is answered by the user during the exam, you can evaluate the answers given in the Exam Results section.
